That's how it should work, so I've gathered. In my old computer Pro Tools would kind of hijack the system sound, so nothing outside of the program would play. Here there is a drag down menu, where my speakers are located, and both RltkDgtlOtpt and Speakers are yellow (indicating availability/compatibility, I assume) When I try to switch them, it restarts Pro Tools but simply sets up RltkDgtlOtpt as the default again, ignoring the change. Under Setup/Playback Engine the only option is Windows Audio Device (no dragdown menu at all), and RltkDgtlOtpt as the output device. ![]() I downloaded ASIO4ALL and can use it normally outside of the program, but Pro Tools itself doesn't recognize it. I built a new computer this month and I can't get the audio to play through my speakers plugged into the motherboard. I used Pro Tools 12 with a computer I built 4 years ago, and it worked well with ASIO4ALL.
